Have you seen the new website? Along with the newly re-vamped blog, the website update was the very first project of updating and rebranding that I undertook a few weeks ago. While the project(s) were on my to do list and computer for two months, I finally spent the past few weeks really putting together the aesthetic concept of my new look.

After a very life-changing 2012 in my personal life, I wanted my photography brand to reflect how I feel in the inside. I have matured immensely over the past year and my personal life has blessed me in so many ways that it was time to "grow" up a little. I am a wife and mother now. I wanted my look to feel a little more "grown up" and "feminine" which is the way I feel.

So what are you waiting for? Head over to the newly re-designed website and share with your family and friends. Thank you!

Brand New.

Finally! After hours, days, weeks and two months of attempting to re-work the aesthetic appeal of my photography brand I finally completed my three self-set projects.

A few weeks ago, back in November to be exact, I decided that I needed to take some time to myself and really think about where my photography is headed. After being pregnant for the past nine months and only four weddings last year, I am ready to tackle wedding photography again. I will admit, it seems getting back into the swing of things and finding a working routine proves to be much more difficult with a newborn around but I am determined to find our way for it to work. I absolutely love that my job allows me to be a hands on full-time mother.

So without further ado, I officially present you a re-vamped up blog, website, and the addition of a boudoir photography website. It's a brand new month, March 1st of 2013, and my wedding season is about to begin. I am ready.

This little lady is back and I am so very excited about photography!!!

I propose a toast.

To the greatest loves in our lives...
For the bride and groom, it's their respective fiances.
For the husbands and wives, it's loving their soul mate.
For humanity as a whole, it's admiration of our world.
For me, it's my brand new family.

I am feeling so inspired. And to that, my beloved friends, I toast!

2013.

It's already February and the this year is well on its way!

My personal life has kept me a little pre-occupied but I am still finding ways to get back on track. Marisol Izaguirre Photography is still keeping busy and I am working on balancing out caring for a newborn and working on a re-brand of this business.

With that said, I am currently working on a new web and blog layout. I can't wait to share the final products with you! I am also still technically on my self-proclaimed maternity leave but yet very much still active with the photography. I am still meeting with brides and grooms and have met an array of wonderful brides and grooms this past month! If you are recently engaged and looking for a wedding photographer, please feel free to give me call. We can set up an appointment for you to come into the office and chat all about your wedding details.

Anyway, I wanted to just give you a little heads up on some aesthetic changes headed to Marisol Izaguirre Photography.

Back to blogging... yay!!!

Hugs,
Marisol

Ryan + Shenah... Engaged! Hidalgo, Texas

As 2012 draws near to its conclusion, I am delighted to share one final engagement session with you! I met Ryan back earlier this year when my husband and I got married. He is one of Joshua's closest friends and I had the pleasure of meeting him on our wedding day. Fast forward a few months later and he proposes to his beautiful girlfriend, Shenah!

Yay for proposals!

I didn't get to meet Shenah until some double dates later on in the months but as soon as we met I knew she was fun, spunky and the type of person who is genuine. Seeing them together immediately tells you how much they are in love with one another. Now, it's not in a lovey-dovey public-affection-kinda' way but rather in the way they speak to and of each other. It's encouraging and definitely made photographing them together so easy.

Shenah and Ryan are both really cool people. They are down to earth, enjoy being outdoors, and absolutely value family and friends. Most importantly, they value one another and are excitedly planning not only one but two wedding celebrations to share with family and friends for the upcoming year!!!

Shenah and Ryan, congratulations again on your engagement and upcoming wedding! I am delighted to have been able to photograph you both to document such a special and momentous time in your lives. I wish you both much love, health and happiness as you embark on the journey to becoming husband and wife. Happy Wedding Planning!

P.S. Thank you for dinner... yummy!!!

Good Sunday friends!

Jimena...Portraits. Edinburg, Texas

Jimena is graduating with her nursing degree tomorrow morning, wahooo!!!! I am delighted that I had the honor and the opportunity of being capable (literally) of photographing Jimena as she closes her undergraduate career at university. I can't believe just four years ago she was a freshman... now she's on her way to being a grown up!

Jimena and I met up at UTPA to capture some portraits of her to celebrate her upcoming graduation. She has worked very hard, especially the last few semesters maintaining an above average curriculum in the nursing program. She is so, so bright.

Along with great intelligence, Jimena possesses a wonderful quality... a great sense of humor! She can be so witty and funny without even trying. It is always fun spending time with her because she always makes me laugh, in a good way!

For months, I have called her "Nurse Jimena" in a loving matter... when she came with me to Austin during the summer as my travel buddy for a wedding I felt safe with her in the car. C'mon, I was traveling with "Nurse Jimena!" Ha! Well, now, she will officially be a nurse and will make a great one.

Jimena, congratulations on your graduation! Your hard work, enthusiasm, and dedication have paid off.

Congratulations Jimena!!! I know your family is extremely proud of you and guess what, so am I!!!! Delta Zeta made us sisters, your big sister made us family and I am very honored to be your friend. The nursing world is ready for a caring nurse as yourself! Welcome to the real world... kick butt!!!

Happy Friday friends!
