Itzel+Nathan... Married!!!

WOW!!!

Itzel and Nathan's May 14th wedding was B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L and as close as possible to whatever perfection on a wedding day may be.  Truly, if I ever could imagine and describe a perfect wedding it would be the Dunn's. Weather was amazing, location was beautiful, details were adorable and the ambience was absolutely breathtaking.

I have been anxiously awaiting this wedding for a few months now and I felt so honored to have been asked back after photographing Nathan's sister's wedding back in June last year. I felt like I was part of their family :)

Seriously, I practically wanted to give "Grams," Nathan's lovely grandmother, a hug when I saw her! Thankfully, I held back. But I did not hold back any squeals of joy as I saw Itzel's dream wedding unfold before my very eyes.

If ever a couple could remind me what fairy tale love is like, it is Nathan and Itzel. At some point after the ceremony and right before they cut the cake I remember thinking to myself that I was witnessing true love. Itzel and Nathan are madly in love with one another. Their presence amongst each other is inspiring and gives one hope that love can be tangible when shared with the perfect soulmate.

Soulmates. That's what Itzel and Nathan are.

To the newly wed couple, thank you. Thank you for believing in me and trusting me enough to ask me back as your wedding photographer. I am very blessed to have met the two of you and feel honored to have shared with you on your wedding day. Itzel, your attention to detail is impeccable. You planned and executed an amazingly beautiful wedding. Truly a DIY bride, Itzel left me with a smile on my face throughout the day until the very end.

See for yourself!

Congratulations Itzel and Nathan... I hope you are enjoying your honeymoon!!! Again, Thank you :) Thank you for letting me share with you. I wish you both a blessed and healthy marriage full of happiness and success!!!!

Wohooooo!!! It's almost Friday :)

Bridesmaids.

I have a confession to make... I have been to the movies four times in the past week!!! Yikes... but the real confession is that I went to see Bridesmaids today with my lovely sorority sisters for the second time in five days.  No biggie, but I really enjoy spending time with my lovely sisters and certainly did not mind watching the movie again.

I still laughed. I still found it hilariously funny. I still didn't catch some of the jokes. And I still thought it was a little long for a comedy. But, regardless, I, again, had a wonderful time with friends.

To my friends and sisters, thank you for keeping me company the past few weeks. I've really needed the quality time... Thank you!!!

In lieu of not posting a photo with this blog post... how about a little-itty-bitty peek from a lovely session....

Yay, it's Wednesday!!! I hope you enjoyed it :)

9 months...

Nine months and three days.

It has taken nine months and three days for my heart to hear something that finally made sense.

Don't cry. Have faith. Trust in the Lord. You are blessed. Stop Crying. Move on. I'm sorry. You'll soon forget. I love you. It's okay to cry but don't waste away.
All rational and cohesive phrases. Every single one was logically correct to say. But my heart, my broken heart wanted more. Not once did anyone say it will get better...

Until yesterday.

Reassurance that it's okay to feel what I feel - that with time the pain will feel less dense.

The mind is a powerful object. I often drive myself crazy when I am alone and feel so hurt. I want to shout; yell louder than loud. Maybe then my dad could hear me and lead me to him.

But it'll get better. With time, I will feel better.

So, to you, I say thank you.

Be blessed my friends... make it an amazing week :)

Jenny + John: Engaged!!! Harlingen, Texas

The perks of photographing people in love is being surrounded by happy couples. Jenny and John are no exception. I truly enjoyed spending a lovely Saturday afternoon with them. Truly, I have the best clients... I am their hired employee and Jenny and John happily drove me around Harlingen. That my friends, is what amazing clients are like!!! Honestly, I felt right at home spending the day with them.

Chatting over coffee and then enjoying a beautiful afternoon listening to jazz music, umm... yes please!!! Okay, so I don't drink coffee and instead opted for a lemonade, but the point remains the same: I HAVE THE BEST CLIENTS, EVER.

Jenny and John are in love with each other. They express their love for one another through their mannerisms, glances and sweet words about one another. They truly care for each other and John, John is such a gentleman. His love for Jenny is evident in the way he stares at her when she speaks. When he moves a stray hair away from her face as the wind blows, I can almost hear birds chirping a love song. Okay, so I may have gone a little cheesy there but the truth is their love is evident.

Jenny loves John and John loves Jenny. Together they make an amazingly sweet couple and will soon - very soon, embark on an even more amazing life together through marriage. Jenny and John, congratulations on your engagement!!! See you soon ;)

This is what true love looks like :)

Jenny & John, Thank you for driving me around Harlingen that afternoon and thank you for being amazing people. I am delighted that I get to share with you your special day as your wedding photographer. I can't wait for the 28th!!!!

I sure hope you are having a lovely week because I certainly am! Thank you Jesus :)

Bridal - Itzel :) Weslaco, Texas

Oh-my-gosh! I have been anxiously waiting to post Itzel's photos from her bridal session back in May. Gosh, I can't believe I actually held out and did not even post a mini-peek. Nothing. Zilch. Nada.

But, alas, Itzel and Nathan have wed and before I share with you their wedding photos, I can FINALLY share Itzel's bridals - wohoooo!!!!

It was a lovely afternoon and I had a great time hanging out with Itzel, her mom, sister and aunt. We literally explored the location as if we were taking a little promenade. It was hot but breezy. Itzel looked every bit the perfect bride in her beautiful wedding gown and not one, but two, beautiful bridal bouquets.

She is simply stunning. Take a look for yourself...

We were done with her session by this time and Itzel had already taken off jewelry, hairpieces, veil and shoes. She was getting ready to change out of her gown but I noticed how beautiful she looked and just couldn't help snapping a few more. Ultimately, these are my favorites from the entire day. There is just something so relaxing and natural about these...

Itzel, thank you for being a tough bride and making it through the day. I am delighted to have been your photographer and truly enjoyed conversing with the important women in your family. Most importantly, I had so much fun at your wedding yesterday!!! Those photos coming real soon ;)

Have a beautiful and blessed Sunday my friends. Enjoy the day!!!

Virginia + Omar... Engaged!!! Hidalgo, Texas

Back in November I met Virginia after participating in a small bridal show. I clearly remember speaking with her about my Wedding Collection and everything I had to offer as a wedding photographer. She had specific questions and was so sweet and listened attentively. When she called later on and made an appointment to meet with me I was delighted.

It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know Virginia and Omar. I am very much looking forward to photographing their upcoming wedding this summer. I especially enjoyed spending a lovely afternoon with the two of them capturing their love for each other.

Virginia is smart, successful and very much in love with her prince charming. Omar is somewhat timid and extremely respectful. Quite frankly, he is a well-mannered gentleman. Virginia and Omar together are an amazingly sweet couple. They were set up by their family and, thankfully for Omar, pharmacy school did not take too much of Virginia's time.

Fast forward a few years and Omar will marry Virginia on a beautiful summer day. I am very excited for their upcoming wedding and I am excited to share with you some of my favorites from their engagement session. It's more than usual but I just couldn't decide ;)

Virginia and Omar, Thank you for choosing me. Thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer. I have grown very fond of the two of you as a couple. You deserve lots of happiness and  I am sure the Lord will bless you with a lifetime of beautiful memories.

**I spent Monday afternoon photographing Virginia's bridal session... too bad I can't share those with you just yet...

I hope you're having a good week... Yay! It's almost Friday ;)
