La Munequita Ranch Wedding ♥ Cassandra and Joseph

Photographing weddings is always fun. For a bride-to be, i sometimes feel like I get to live a wedding day every so often, isn't that great? From the moment I arrive to the moment I leave, I make sure to capture the essence of the couple throughout their wedding. Cassandra and Joseph are so intimately in love. It was evident during their engagement session and most certainly obvious on their wedding day. I am delighted to have been chosen to share on their special day as their wedding photographer.

Although this wedding was a last minute addition to this wedding season, I am definitely glad our paths crossed. Otherwise, I would have missed out on meeting such an amazing couple and photographing such a loving wedding. Their late August wedding was truly a South Texas original, down to the yellow wedding colors and the beautiful location. Cassandra and Joseph were married at La Munequita Ranch deep in Mission, Texas. This was my first time there and I hope many of my future couples get married there. The ranch was absolutely serene and beautiful. The only sounds you heard were the fish in the lake and the sounds of a true Texas ranch.

Cassandra glowed in her beautiful wedding gown and Joseph beamed with excitement as he watched his bride walk towards him down the aisle. Take a look for yourself...

Cassandra and Joseph, congratulations on your marriage! I wish you every blessing in this world and a lifetime of happiness. And thank you for choosing me as your photographer!

Happy Tuesday :)

Baby Arianny ♥ Brownsville, Texas

When I photograph weddings, I enjoy capturing the love two people share. One of the best parts of my job is seeing my clients enjoy the landmark moments in their lives in front my camera. Saying I do and bringing home a brand new baby make my role as a photographer extra special. I help fabulous people enjoy their blessings and the opportunity to look back years after years as their lives change through photographs. The imagery I am able to capture is merely possible because of the inherent beauty that lies within each one of my clients.

Photographing pets makes me adopt more dogs. Photographing weddings makes me want to get married sooner. Yup, you guessed it... photographing babies makes me want lots of them! They are so sweet and tender without even trying. Their tiny bodies are a miracle created by God. Babies are truly a blessing and I look forward to the day until I ceaselessly photograph my very own children. Until then, I'll focus on photographing all of my newborn clients, in all of their cuteness glory.

Baby Arianny was just born a few days ago and already she has taken the world by storm with her beautiful eyes and heavenly smile. Her loving parents have been blessed with a beautiful baby girl and I have been blessed with an another tiny little client. Carolina is only the third baby I have photographed, ever. My newborn sessions are a little different than the style which is currently prevalent among many baby photographers. I see people, babies included, a little different. I certainly think they look adorable while they are quietly sleeping and posed in such intricate ways. But babies sometimes cry or don't want to sleep. They stretch and blink and often don't stop crying. And all of that is natural, and I like to capture them that way.

I love babies, this one included. Please meet the beautiful Arianny... welcome to the world!

I hope you had an amazing Tuesday!

Mariana and Juan - Donna, Texas

Wowsers! The first week of November has almost come to its end... and I am still not quite sure I know what time it is. Daylight savings time has occurred and although I am definitely thankful for an "extra" hour of sleep, it is really going to be work trying to adjust. How are you adjusting? Well, I am a little behind on blogging and unfortunately I have been a little swamped and the daily blog post has been closer to the bottom than the top of the to do list. Fret not, though, because you my faithful reader have been on my mind all week :)

I really hope the fall is treating all of you exceptionally well and you are adjusting to the new time and the lovely fall weather. As October has come and left, the start of November brings about many happy memories for me and seems to put me in an extra happy mood. It could be due to my anniversary, pending birthday, and Christmas but I am most certain it is because God reminds me how blessed I am daily but I seem to pay extra special attention around this time.

This happy mood also makes me very spontaneous... So yesterday afternoon I decided I wanted to learn to shoot at night but I needed some fabulous models. Where could I find some last minute models??? Oh how handy my facebook has become in recent months...

Mariana and Juan met over a year ago over the internet. They were planning on a 2011 wedding but decided the love they shared for one another needed to be expressed soon, way sooner so they happily wed a few weeks ago. The two of them fondly love each other and it was clear from the moment they introduced themselves. As luck would have it, there were two carnivals in my hometown and both were literally 2 minutes away from my house so I figured it was the perfect setting for a nighttime session. And it was, it totally was.

Maybe it was the newly wed glow or the fact that they were in a carnival but Juan and Mariana were relaxed and natural in front of the camera. The environment made their session so colorful and fun but the two of them added the perfect romantic touch. Now the three of us together, we made a great team ;) Although we literally just met that day, we joked and laughed with one another the entire session. Ah, such easy going people, love them!

The internet brought Mariana and Juan together and that same internet brought them to me. I asked for a loving couple to contact me as soon as possible for a last minute engagement/couple's session and Mariana jumped at the opportunity first. And I'm glad she did, I got to meet a wonderful and super fabulous couple.

Mariana and Juan, I hope you enjoyed your session. Thank you for letting me photograph you!

Have a great week!!!

Marisol... open your eyes and listen.

Often the events that take place in our lives direct and guide us toward the path we fail to recognize as the road to the destiny our heart desires. Such is the case in my life, and probably yours. Things happen that make us sad and cry. Other times, things happen that leave us overwhelmed with joy and happiness. Regardless, tears and smiles shape our soul and when we stop struggling withour emotions, when we stop wrestling the way they make us feel, when we accept the things that happen and choose to learn from these events we move forward. Today, I choose to move forward. This world we call home, it is beautiful and I want to enjoy it - even when sad things happen. Life is living. Marisol do not be afraid to live

I write this mostly to myself, so that I can listen. Do not fret with the things that take place and hurt your feelings. Look past it and trust, know, see that God gives you strength to make it through the tangled webs. When you stop fighting your own battles and finally admit that you are not alone, God will save you. Literally. So God, forgive me for thinking I could do it all on my own. I cannot. I need you. I lift up my worries and trust in you. You give me the tears I cry so that when you give me the happiness to make me smile it means so much more. I love you and I am yours.

God, thank you.

Be blessed. Be thankful. Be happy ♥ Love one another.

Bridal Session ♥ La Joya, Texas

The weekend has been absolutely busy but oh-so-great :) Friday's wedding was amazing and now Krystal and Larry have wed. While we await the wedding photos, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite images from Krystal's bridal session. Krystal chose her wedding venue location for her her bridal photos and I think it was a great choice. Rancho El Charco (http://ranchoelcharco.com/) is immensly large and the possibilites were endless! The afternoon was perfect for shooting at the ranch and the weather was amazing. It was warm but cool and there were no mosquitoes!! The fall weather allowed us to take our time with the session without breaking a sweat, especially for my bride in her beautiful dress.

I've mentioned before that in middle school Krystal was my very best friend. When she hired me as her wedding photographer it was the first time we had time to reconnect and see each other since the days back in high school. Even then, we rarely saw each other and had not really spoken with her since we were way younger. Fortunately, from the very first time we reconnected I think we literally reconnected... It was like if I had never stopped seeing her and we had continued to grow up together. I had not seen her mom since the 7th or 8th grade but spending time with them both during the bridal session was so much fun and just like old times. Literally, I felt so at ease with them and extremely comfortable. It certainly felt like we were the same little girls who spent countless hours hanging out with one another.

Krystal, you looked absolutely radiant and even more beautiful on your wedding day. I had so much fun spending the afternoon with you and your mom. And to your mom, thank you for everything... from driving me home sometimes during middle school to being so kind and gracious and making me feel so much more than just one of the wedding vendors.

Now for the beautiful bride, she is truly amazing...

Wedding photos coming soon ;) Have a great week!
