Marissa Villa de Palmas Bridal Session | San Juan, Texas

Marissa and Greg were married in the middle of April and I had anxiously been wanting to share her bridal photos since before the wedding day. Then wedding season went into full mode for me and blogging took a definite back seat to my workload. The worse part, my computer was pretty much inaccessible for so long with all this house remodeling that I just couldn't find the time or the energy to sit down quietly and prepare these images to blog. I finally found my laptop last week and began working on some beautiful blog posts to share with you. So today, after the floor has finally been installed in my office, I have an empty room with a semi-clean desk and my computer. I can finally blog comfortably again!

So without further ado, here are some of my absolute favorites from Marissa's bridal session in early April. Marissa chose the Villa de Palmas located in San Juan, Texas as the backdrop for her session and I couldn't have picked a better place. It was my first time visiting the private residence and I absolutely fell in love with it. The home, available for event and photography rental, is classic and a breath of fresh air here deep in South Texas.

Marissa had her sister and close friend join us for the session and the four of us women got to learn a little more about each other while enjoying a lovely spring evening. We literally took a stroll throughout the property and admired Marissa in all her bridal beauty. Sometimes I think bridal sessions are my favorite. Sometimes I think engagement sessions are my favorite. Then, sometimes I think the wedding days are my favorite. Ha... I think I just really love my job and all things wedding photography related!

You are beautiful Marissa!

More on Marissa's wedding day soon. Have a great Friday friends!

Bridals.

Bridal sessions are definitely a southern tradition. I love the planning and effort that goes into putting a bridal session together. My brides get a first look at what their complete wedding look and we get to enjoy a morning or afternoon of peaceful smiling and lots of girly giggles. Moms usually tag a long and I get to photograph a beautiful woman so eager to wear her dream dress in anticipation of her beloved wedding day. Gosh, the perks of being a girl!

The worst part, however, is the wait - no matter how long or short - before I am able to share with the world some of those bridal gorgeousness. Ahhh!

As I dive into my 2014 wedding season, bridal sessions are quickly filling up my calendar as these late spring, summer and fall weddings draw a little closer. That means a lot of prettiness that I have to wait to share with you. Case in point, one of my June bride in her beautiful bridal attire. So since I can't quite share those with you yet… here's a photo of a branch. The branch was right by my bride but we can't let the groom see yet!

Happy First Day of Spring!!

Krystal's Bridal Session Museum of South Texas History | Edinburg, Texas

I have been wanting to share with you Krystal and Mickey's mid-December wedding with you but I just realized earlier this evening that I had yet to share with you some of my favorites from the bridal session. Krystal hired me at the last minute before her wedding date… fourteen days before to be exact! We spent one weekend before the wedding taking care of her engagement and bridal session.

On a Saturday, a whole week before her big day, Krystal braved the very chilly weather and had her bridal portraits taken. The location we chose provided us with warmth and shelter to photograph indoors to prevent our bride from having to be cold. But like many of the brides I know, Krystal was up for anything - even photographing outdoors in the cold!

It was chilly, very chilly, and Krystal was such a trooper. We began her bridal session indoors throughout the lovely Museum of South Texas History in Edinburg, Texas. The staff were very friendly and the museum provided a lovely backdrop for our beautiful bride. Then, just before calling it a day, we explored the outside premises.

You are beautiful Krystal!

Krystal is my sorority sister from back in college and I had not seen her in a few years since I graduated. I am delighted that she and Mickey chose me as her wedding photographer because I got to see her walk down the aisle to the man of her dreams. Krystal you made a beautiful bride, congratulations!

Have a good night my friends.
