Cecilia + Carlos | Guerra's Ballroom Wedding | Elsa, Texas

Cecilia and Carlos were wed on the last day of May this year and I had the pleasure of spending the day documenting their celebration. After their engagement session early in January, I was eager to see what Cecilia had planned for her special day. I knew the theme and direction in which she wanted to take the design elements of her wedding. During many of our consultations, Cecilia and her mom mentioned a few of the details they were eagerly planning. It was awesome to see so many of the ideas she had come to life!

Cecilia had an absolutely beautiful dress, with beautiful long sleeves. She looked every bit the demure bride in it. It looked absolutely appropriate for her beautiful church wedding. Once at the reception venue, I excitedly wandered around the rustic themed dance hall and admired all of the little country details I found. It was absolutely cool and very rustic.

Carlos and Cecilias love boots, hats and big trucks. Their wedding reception was very much all about their love of the outdoor country lifestyle. It was awesome!

Cecilia and Carlos, it was an honor to document your wedding day. It was lovely to see Carlos so excited as his bride walked towards him down the aisle. Sweet glances and giggles during the ceremony only portrayed how ready they were to be married. So in love, congratulations!!!

Katrina + Salvador Engagement Session | Edinburg, Texas

A while back I posted about a last minute model call for some quick portraits. As a result of the interest, I chose more than one couple for the quick session. Katrina and Salvador are one of the first ones to inquire. This real life engaged couple has been dating for a few years and are ready to take the next step and become husband and wife. Their session was super quick and it was fairly easy to guide and direct them. I think that is what made their session go by even faster than expected.

Congratulations on your engagement Katrina and Salvador. Moreover, thank you for your time, beauty and grace as you stood in front of the camera for some portraits. I appreciate the time you invested - thank you!

Krystal's Bridal Session Museum of South Texas History | Edinburg, Texas

I have been wanting to share with you Krystal and Mickey's mid-December wedding with you but I just realized earlier this evening that I had yet to share with you some of my favorites from the bridal session. Krystal hired me at the last minute before her wedding date… fourteen days before to be exact! We spent one weekend before the wedding taking care of her engagement and bridal session.

On a Saturday, a whole week before her big day, Krystal braved the very chilly weather and had her bridal portraits taken. The location we chose provided us with warmth and shelter to photograph indoors to prevent our bride from having to be cold. But like many of the brides I know, Krystal was up for anything - even photographing outdoors in the cold!

It was chilly, very chilly, and Krystal was such a trooper. We began her bridal session indoors throughout the lovely Museum of South Texas History in Edinburg, Texas. The staff were very friendly and the museum provided a lovely backdrop for our beautiful bride. Then, just before calling it a day, we explored the outside premises.

You are beautiful Krystal!

Krystal is my sorority sister from back in college and I had not seen her in a few years since I graduated. I am delighted that she and Mickey chose me as her wedding photographer because I got to see her walk down the aisle to the man of her dreams. Krystal you made a beautiful bride, congratulations!

Have a good night my friends.
