Debra's Bridal Session... Mission, Texas

While preparing this blog post, I was trying to count back the number of years I have known my most recent bride... Debra. If my fingers are correct, I have known Debra for approximately six full years... she, like many of my close friends, is my Delta Zeta Sorority sister. And she, like many of my DZ sorority sisters have, honored me with the pleasure of being her wedding photographer.

This past weekend, Debra married David, her knight in shining armor. Together they will now embark on the journey to create a life together as husband and wife. Debra, like every bride, is very much deserving of her happily ever after.

I have anxiously been waiting for the wedding not only to photograph it but to share with you her amazing bridal session images. This early morning shoot came out beautiful and Debra radiates as a blushing bride.

It's an amazing feeling watching people reach the end of the wedding aisle and say I do. It is very special for me when I know my brides... each and every single one.

You are beautiful Debra!

Debra, you just got married, wahoo!!! I am delighted to have been able to watch you say I do to your very own prince charming this past weekend. The wedding was beautiful, fun and very much a great way to start the fall season. Congratulations to you and David and I can't wait to share your wedding pictures!!!

Have a great week my beloved friends!!! Hugs :)

Fall Schedule

Yikes!

It's been more than month since my last post. I can't believe I neglected to post anything new with so much going on both professionally and personally. I have this odd symptom... I think about many things and think I share them with you. For example, I'll receive a text message and respond back immediately in my mind. Time will pass then I will wonder why I never received anything back. I'll check and realize that I never actually replied.

Same with the blog... I think I have shared with you but I log on and realized it's all been in my mind. Ha!

A new season has arrived and with it I wanted to inform you of my Fall schedule. I am currently booking portrait sessions just in time for the holiday season coming up. If you are not interested in a full portrait collection, you can certainly take advantage of the special I am hosting... this year's Holiday Mini Session. For more information or further date inquiry, please contact me at mary@marisolizaguirre.com or at (956) 569-2257.

I am also currently accepting wedding dates for this fall if you are a 2012 bride and have yet to secure your wedding photographer. I urge you to inquire about your upcoming wedding date and see if it is available.

For my 2013 brides, congratulations on getting engaged! I am now booking for 2013 and will be hosting a special for anyone who books their 2013 wedding before December 1st of this year. Check back later this week for an update :)

Finally, I can't wait to share with you an amazing bridal session from a few weeks ago...

Be safe and have a great week my friends!

Baby Olivia - McAllen, Texas

I have known Olivia's parents for about three years now... When I first photographed their wedding back on a hot summer I could only hope I'd get the call back to continue photographing all of their important events.

Thankfully, I did.

I have since photographed their baby boy as a newborn and now, three years later, have had the honor of photographing the newest addition to their little family... Olivia!

Olivia missed the mark for a newborn session by a few months... six months to be exact. But this beautiful baby girl was just as much to photograph as her big brother was a year ago. She was sweet, a bit timid, and absolutely gorgeous. Her eyes, they are beautiful. And when she smiles, she is completely adorable. Best part, she wanted to chew on my camera... talk about teething!

Spending my early morning meeting this baby girl and taking her picture was a piece of cake. She was cooperative and did I already mention adorable? Olivia is sweet and has gorgeous eyes accompanied by beautiful long lashes. She's going to break some hearts in the years to come ;)

Cassandra and Joseph, thank you for allowing me to photograph your little girl. She makes a great addition to your beautiful family and I am delighted I finally got to meet her! Be blessed Olivia.

Enjoy the week friends! :)

Newborn... Emma :) McAllen, Texas

A week ago I had the pleasure of photographing one of the world's newest arrivals.. Baby Emma. In early June I photographed a wonderful couple awaiting the arrival of their first baby (Click here to view Ben and Marissa's Maternity Session.) After meeting them during our initial conversations and later on throughout their first session, I too grew anxious for the arrival of this beautiful baby girl. Ben and Marissa are a loving couple so full of life and ready to embark on the path of parenthood.

Baby Emma's arrival has since catapulted them into the greatest job of their lives... becoming parents. Emma is absolutely precious, adorable and beautiful. She was such a pleasure to photograph and as a brand spanking new baby, she was quite comfortable on the beanbag throughout her session. A well-fed, well-loved and cute baby make my job so easy.

Welcome to the world Emma!

Marissa and Ben, again I thank you for allowing me to photograph such a special time in your lives. I congratulate you both on the birth of your baby daughter and wish you a lifetime of happiness and blessings!

Happy Friday friends :)

Hawaiian Luau :)

I've mentioned a few times over the past years on this blog that I help my mom out with her pageants. As the Director of Rotunno Productions, my mom puts together the Miss Rio Grande Valley Beauty and the Miss Donna Sweetheart Scholarship pageants. Both pageants are completely free of cost to the participants and we work really hard each year to keep it that way.

Our pageants are open to all girls who meet the simple requirements and we don't want to turn anyone away due to a lack of finances. Thus, we strive every year to find unique ways to keep the cost of running the pageant down and still being able to provide the annual winners with a scholarship.

This year, my brilliant mother and her 2012 Miss Donna Sweetheart queens have planned a great fundraising event to be held next weekend. The Miss Donna Sweetheart Pageant and Rotunno Productions are hosting a Hawaiian Luau scheduled for Saturday August 18th 2012 and they need your help to raise funds for the pageant by purchasing a ticket for attendance.

I highly encourage you to take the time to head over to their website and Facebook page and show them your support. Tickets are currently available for sale and you can purchase one by contacting Rotunno Productions at (956) 358-3914 or via email at MissRGVBeauty@aol.com.

The purchase of a ticket grants you attendance to the catered Luau scheduled with lots of fun dancing, music and activities. It also gets you a really cute invite...

The 2012 Miss Donna Sweetheart pageant queens have been working really hard all summer to plan this event and put together all of the details the Luau entails. I hope to see you there!!!

Have a great day!!!
