Marissa + Greg Namar Wedding | South Padre Island, Texas

Marissa and Greg were married in the spring in South Padre Island, Texas. While they had a beach destination wedding, their celebration was focused more on the amazing wedding venue and family and friends to celebrate. Marissa had the lovely view and surroundings of an island wedding without all the sand and wind in her hair. It was awesome! 

I met Marissa a year ago while she was searching for her wedding photographer. We communicated over email, met in person, and eventually I was hired for the job. I was very excited to hear about the details of her wedding and learning about her fiancé, Greg. The two of them are highly successful in their careers and were ready to embark on the next step in their relationship. 

Marissa is an analytical thinker, thanks in part to her law career, and when I met Greg I could see he brought out the best smiles in her. During their engagement session I observed Greg make his blushing bride smile and giggle at every instance he had a chance. The two of them make a lovely couple and are very much in love. Their families at the wedding were so excited for their union and the love was so apparent all around. 

At seven months pregnant, I was pretty quick on my feet thanks in part to my second shooter, and newly acquired friend, Ben from Ben Briones Studios. Thank you Ben for your assistance; I truly appreciate it! And in mentioning thanks, I thank Marissa and Greg for entrusting me with their wedding day. Congratulations you two!

Cynthia Old Hidalgo Pumphouse Bridal Session | Hidalgo, Texas

Cynthia scheduled her bridal session back in March and I had to wait until after the first weekend in June to share her images. While they have been officially wed for just a little under three months, I am finally catching up on my blogging. Thus, I am finally ready to share some of my favorites from her bridal session. Cynthia in her bridal gown was simply breathtaking. She is so quite and somewhat timid to the untrained eye. Once you get the conversation flowing, she loves to laugh and giggle while flashing her beautiful smile. After having met Cynthia over a year and a half before the wedding date, seeing her in the lovely wedding gown she meticulously chose was very much exciting for me as I am sure for her family. 

We spent a lovely afternoon in March exploring the lovely Old Hidalgo Pumphouse in Hidalgo, Texas. Capturing Cynthia in her bridal glow, the pump house provided a simple and lovely backdrop to the beautiful bride. Cynthia you are beautiful!

Cynthia made a beautiful bride. It was a pleasure spending the evening with Cynthia and her parents as we discussed the emotions of the entire family leading up to the wedding. Favorites from the wedding day will hit the blog soon!

It's Vintage Darling Styled Session | Edinburg, Texas

I spent a lot of my late teens and early adulthood antiquing and rummaging through what many would consider junk in search of "good bones" and "magical treasures." My love affair with all things old and refurbished eventually passed on to my mother and the two of us will inherently brake for junk and yard sales. You'll never know what you can find! 

With the popularity of Pinterest, I think the vintage bug has finally caught on here in the Rio Grande Valley and I am delighted that there are more options and places for people who love all this stuff to visit and get lost in. I swear, I can spend hours and hours at the few antiques store, both near and afar, and not feel like I wasted any time.

La Munequita Ranch Open House | Mission, Texas

Back in April I had the opportunity of being invited and attending the grand opening celebration of La Munequita Ranch in Mission, Texas. The ranch is a lovely newly remodeled location to host your small or large outdoor event. It is equipped with all the necessities of hosting an event and can provide you with a list of amazing vendors to help you plan. La Munequita Ranch has been open to the public for events for a few years but has remained relatively a hidden gem for deep South Texas. With the new upgrades, the location decided to re-market themselves with a lovely new website and showcased some of their partner vendors with an showcase celebration.
