Feminity. 10th Anniversary Boudoir | Pharr, Texas

I really enjoy photographing boudoir. While I am quite timid, I enjoy creating beautiful art for my clients when they request boudoir sessions. It's always comforting to know they like my aesthetic and want to provide their husbands with a beautiful piece of art.

Here's one from last week's session.

Erika + Daniel Chachalaca Engagement | Los Fresnos, Texas

I photographed Erika and Daniel in the middle of the summer at one of my favorite Rio Grande Valley locations, The Inn at Chachalaca Bend, in Los Fresnos.  Every time I visit the Inn at Chachalaca Bend, I am in awe of how it is surrounded by bright pops of green. While you can beat the humidity and heat during the South Texas summer, Erika and Daniel did great as we explored the area. They did an amazing job in front of the camera; directing them was quite effortless.

These two Brownsville natives are taking the next big Texas city by storm and happily on their way to planning a fairytale wedding. Erika and Daniel are sweet, caring, and very much in love. It was a pleasure to meet them both and watch them bring out the smiles in each other.

After exploring the inn, we ventured into the outer Los Fresnos area for some fun color powder shots. Erika was really excited about having some photos taken after playfully fighting with some very bright and colorful powder. While I didn't join in the actual fun, I did enjoy seeing them interact with each other and capture their fun personalities on camera.

Erika and Daniel, congratulations on your engagement! I wish you both a happy journey and a loving, blessed marriage. Happy wedding planning!

Oh, and the best part about this engagement session, my sweet baby Abigail joined me at work.

It's a brand new website!

Hooray! After a little over two months, I am finally at home on my new website. Thank you for stoping by... it is very kind of you.

With this new site, I have also decided to leave the old blog behind and begin journaling on this new one. You are still welcomed to visit the old blog to catch up on some reading, see some of my work from earlier this year, and, of course, to see where I began. You can find the old blog here: http://www.marisolizaguirreblog.com for a while longer and indefinitely here: http://www.marisolizaguirre.blogspot.com

This new journal will document where I am now currently and where I am headed. I still enjoy reading back through my old posts and remembering where I was at the moment I typed each one up. Be it personal or professional, the memories are rewarding for me to look back through.

When I first began blogging back in 2009, it was a goal to write often and share consistently. For a few years I did. But over the past year and a half, I found it difficult to want to share like I had before. I hope that I have overcome my fears, fears of which I'll share in this blog with you.

So without further ado, welcome to the new blog!

A toast to some new words, cheers!
