Krystal + Mickey Old Hidalgo Pumphouse Engagement | Hidalgo, Texas

I have one more wedding left in this 2013 season… Krystal and Mickey's December nuptials are fast approaching. I spent the majority of this past weekend photographing Krystal. We met on Saturday for her bridal session and then on Sunday for their engagement photos. 

Krystal and I went to college together and both sorority sisters. I am so honored that she chose me to photograph her wedding. Not only did it mark one more for the books, but, most importantly, reminds me that my sisterhood has always supported my photography business since its inception. 

Mickey and Krystal have dated for many years now and are ready to begin their next chapter as husband and wife. Congratulations to you both on your engagement and thank you for allowing me to capture your love on camera.

Marissa + Greg Hilltop Gardens Engagement | Lyford, Texas

A few weekends ago I had the pleasure of visiting a hidden gem in the Rio Grande Valley. The Hilltop Gardens is located in Lyford, Texas and served as a perfect backdrop for Marissa and Greg's engagement session. 

Marissa discovered the gardens a few weeks beforehand and after visiting the place herself, she was ecstatic about having her engagement portraits done there. I think she chose an absolutely beautiful place. Our morning session was quite and fresh as we perused the gardens.

Marissa and Greg were so effortlessly easy to photograph. This was the first time I had met Greg, but I felt like I already knew him. Over the past few months, Marissa and I have had a few conversations and I learned not only about the details of their upcoming wedding, but about her beloved fiancé. 

The two of them have been dating for a while now and are planning a beautiful island wedding in the upcoming Spring. Marissa is energetic, intelligent, and has a beautiful attitude. Her smile is vivacious and full of life. I am most certainly it is one of the attributes Greg, her soon to be groom, loves. Greg is smart, hard working, and has a great sense of humor. I think the two of them make a lovely and great couple. Photographing them was so easy and we had some great laughs throughout the course of the morning.

Erika + Daniel Chachalaca Engagement | Los Fresnos, Texas

I photographed Erika and Daniel in the middle of the summer at one of my favorite Rio Grande Valley locations, The Inn at Chachalaca Bend, in Los Fresnos.  Every time I visit the Inn at Chachalaca Bend, I am in awe of how it is surrounded by bright pops of green. While you can beat the humidity and heat during the South Texas summer, Erika and Daniel did great as we explored the area. They did an amazing job in front of the camera; directing them was quite effortless.

These two Brownsville natives are taking the next big Texas city by storm and happily on their way to planning a fairytale wedding. Erika and Daniel are sweet, caring, and very much in love. It was a pleasure to meet them both and watch them bring out the smiles in each other.

After exploring the inn, we ventured into the outer Los Fresnos area for some fun color powder shots. Erika was really excited about having some photos taken after playfully fighting with some very bright and colorful powder. While I didn't join in the actual fun, I did enjoy seeing them interact with each other and capture their fun personalities on camera.

Oh, and the best part about this engagement session, my sweet baby Abigail joined me at work.
