When I shared Vanessa and her fiancé John's engagement photos a few months ago, I mentioned how Vanessa had promised to one day hire me for her wedding when she was engaged. Fast forward a few years later and graduation, Vanessa became engaged to her college sweetheart last year and married this summer. As promised, I was hired to photograph the beautiful wedding. Early this summer, I had the pleasure of finally seeing Vanessa in all her bridal glory.

We decided on La Munequita Ranch as a backdrop for her bridal portraits. A country girl at heart, La Munequita Ranch provided a subtle rustiness to her portraits. We were joined by her mother and maid of honor as well as my momma and baby girl. The best part of this career, I'll say again and again, is being able to stay close to my babies. But I digress...

Vanessa, you looked absolutely beautiful and truly have worn one of my favorite wedding gowns to date. You oozed romantic-ness and look flawless. I hope marriage is treating you well sister!

Beautiful portraits and compliments aside, thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing me as your photographer Vanessa. You are kind and understanding and it was a pleasure photographing you while I waddled with my big baby belly. Bright and early on a sunny but chilly morning last month, I had the opportunity to finally meet Carlos, Cecilia's fiancé. After meeting Cecilia a year ago, I have been anxiously awaiting the day we'd photograph her engagement photos. The worth was well worth it! Cecilia chose a beautiful and peaceful ranch in Mission, Texas to serve as the backdrop for her session. Both Cecilia and Carlos are up to par on their wedding planning; Cecilia and her mom have been on a roll in checking things off in their to-do lists.

Cecilia is a firefighter and while not my first firefighter in a wedding couple, she is my first female firefighter. Way to go Cecilia! These two are so sweet together and I can't wait to see them all dressed to the nines on their wedding day. On a more aesthetic level, I am also anxious to see Cecilia's rustic dream wedding come to life.

Photographing them was so effortless and easy. I didn't have to provide much guidance and instead we enjoyed a chilly stroll through the premises. Besides from a mini-posse consisting of Cecilia's mom, friend, and myself, we were also graced with the personal tour from the resident ranch dog. So sweet.

Cecilia and Carlos, congratulations on your engagement! More importantly, best wishes as you enjoy the last few months of engagement bliss and enter the beautiful realm of married life. I look forward to the big day!
