Personal Project | Tiniest of Details

Earlier this year I wrote about some business goals I was setting for myself to accomplish. I kept the list small to be reasonable and not stress myself out. One of my goals was to begin a personal photographic project. I have thought about what I wanted to document for a few weeks now and today I finally decided on a theme.

I am a fairly small person. While I am not the tiniest of tiny, I am a small individual. I like little things, quaint and charming details. Photographing such details is one of my favorite parts to document during the wedding day. So today I decided I would like to focus on small, quaint and charming details to photograph. I will be a macro (micro) project documenting tiny little details.

I look forward to all the tiny details I'll discover and document over the next few months. I am hoping to complete this project towards or at the end of the year. I won't share the images I capture often but may share some from time to time. I am hoping to collect them and share with you at the end of the year. I think it will make for a neat project reveal.

I am excited for this! Today, I'll share with you the first set of images.

Arcilia + Jessie The Ranch at San Patricio Engagement | San Patricio, Texas

The weather in Texas has been cloudy, overcast, and rainy for the past few weeks. And while the rain has made us reschedule a few sessions, cloudy and overcast days are still quite pleasant. I met Arcilia through one of my summer brides and after working on a previous engagement session, I feel like I made a good enough impression on Arcilia for her to hire me. Yay!

She and Jessie, her fiancé, have been dating for quite a few years and after becoming engaged, Arcilia is planning her fairytale wedding. The Ranch at San Patricio is absolutely beautiful and as a photographer, I have to say, there are clearly thought out photo-op areas. This venue was truly created with the ideas of beautiful outdoor Texas weddings in mind. It is awesome!

Arcilia and Jessie were very easy to photograph. I say that about all my clients, but trust me - every person I photograph is! Honestly, when you are hired to document real, sweet love the documenting part is quite effortless. Jessie and Arcilia did great throughout their session and it was an absolute pleasure getting to know a little about their relationship and who they are.

Happy Friday friends!

Emily + Roy La Munequita Ranch Wedding | Mission, Texas

Emily planned such a romantically beautiful wedding to celebrate her marriage to Roy. I met this sweet couple in the summer leading up to their wedding and I am honored to have had the opportunity to document their wedding day. After photographing their engagement photos at South Padre Island and hearing about all the little details that Emily was working on, I eagerly awaited their December nuptials.

Emily and Roy married at La Munequita Ranch in Mission, Texas. Their wedding was uniquely different from other wedding receptions that I have photographed in a multitude of ways. First, they had an awesome comedian from Austin entertain their crowd. Mr. Jon Stringer was really funny! Second, they had an awesome kettle popcorn both for all their guests to snack on and enjoy. Finally, there was a blow-up-mechanical bull to ride for guests to really have some fun. There was awesome music, awesome food, awesome snacks, and beautifully intricate details. Emily and Roy, you planned an awesome wedding.

Congratulations on this beautiful celebration and, most importantly, on the love you share for each other. Happy Marriage!!!
