Catie + Austin Flying T Ranch Wedding | Bertram, Texas

I didn't get to meet Catie until the day of her wedding but seconds after seeing her lovely smile it felt like I had met her before. After email and phone conversations, it was awesome to put a lovely face to her sweet and charismatic voice. I felt very welcomed when I arrive at the Flying T Ranch outside of Austin, Texas. Catie's wedding involved a lot of do it yourself projects and it was great to see so many of her friends and family so willing to help put her dream day together.

Catie and Austin, I since learned, met each other at camp and eventually began dating. Both of them have a deep love for the Lord and it was beautiful to seem them worship during their marriage ceremony. With a recent college graduation, Catie and Austin decided to embark on the next step of their lives and join together in marriage. I was chosen to photograph their lovely September wedding and couldn't have been happier to meet them.

The two of them are honestly so gushingly sweet to watch interact and are very much in love with one another. During their prayer time before the ceremony, Austin was blindfolded and couldn't visually see his beautiful bride. Together they prayed and were so eager to get their life together started. This was truly a beautiful wedding to be a part of.

Catie and Austin, thank you for allowing me to document your wedding day. I wish you every blessing in your marriage!

Karina + Garrett South Congress Engagement | Austin, Texas

Karina is my sorority little sister, and I have known her for about seven years since we met in college. While I stand at a mere five feet and two inches, Karina towers over me with her amazing height. Regardless of how short I am compared to her, in college she chose me to be her big sister and I am ever grateful.

After I graduated, Karina experienced Delta Zeta through the laughter and joy of the rest of the sisterhood. I kept up with her through the good ole telephone and social media sites such as Facebook. I learned about her travels abroad to Spain and Germany and saw her experience snowy storms while living in Boston.

While both from deep South Texas, it took us a few years and lots of miles to see each other again and meet our significant others. I finally met Garrett in Minnesota when Karina and I both traveled for another sister's wedding. With a little more traveling in between, Karina and I finally had a chance to see each other a little more this summer and fall.

Featured | Valley Wedding Pages

Wohoo! Some of my work with La Munequita Ranch was featured in the Valley Wedding Pages Fall/Holiday 2014 issue. The Valley Wedding Pages is a magazine local to the area in which I live, the Rio Grande Valley. I have been a fan and reader of this magazine for so many years. Even before I was ever engaged, married, or even a photographer, I have been collecting their magazine. I suppose it is a testament of how much I have always liked weddings.

If you are local and in my area, feel free to pick up the most recent issue of the Valley Wedding Pages. It's a great resource to plan your wedding and find many vendors for you to inquire with. Oh, and you can see some snippets of my work from last summer featured on pages 82 and 83.

I am very thankful for the feature and always, very excited. Thank you Valley Wedding Pages!

Have a great day friends!
