One Day Special! $25 Petite Sessions | San Juan, Texas

In the spirit of Easter weekend, and all the warm fuzzies that family love gives me, I have decided to offer a one time - one day deal for all you loving families in my area who are looking to have a quick spring portrait done. I will be at the San Juan Basilica, commonly referred to by valley folk as "the Shrine," today in the early evening for a special session. Since I will make the drive out to San Juan, I am opening up a brief time slot for any one to show up and have a quick portrait done for only $25 (plus sales tax!). It will be quick, really quick - ten minutes to be exact, and you'll be able to see your photos in an online gallery the following day. You can order any prints and products from your session at your discretion after viewing your pictures. You can order a few days after the session, or save some more cash and order some time later. It is up to you… I just felt in the spirit of giving and decided to give you a little of my time tomorrow evening. If you are up for it, and have your little family around, head over and let me snap your portrait.

Please note: This is a one time offer and only valid for tomorrow Saturday April 19th 2014 between 5 - 7 PM. Payment can be cash, check, or credit/debit card and will be due at the time of your session. If you would like more information or want to let me know you'll be there, you can reach me at mary@marisolizaguirre.com or via phone at (956) 569-2257.

Keep in mind, the $25 fee covers a quick ten minute session and will yield a small gallery of photos for you to choose from. If you are interested in having a more relaxed, and detailed session, I highly advise you to consider scheduling a Portrait Session at a later time.

Charlotte First Birthday Portraits | McAllen, Texas

Earlier this week I photographed a beautiful baby girl who recently turned one year old. I hadn't seen little Charlotte since last summer when I first met and photographed her. She was timid but in such a cute way. This little one is just a tiny but older than my little one so it was really cute to see them meet each other.

I photographed Charlotte at the newest RGV Cupcake Factory in McAllen, Texas. It is a lovely and bright place, serving as a charming backdrop for these sweet and candid portraits.

Sibling Portraits Old Hidalgo Pumphouse | Hidalgo, Texas

Two years ago, I had the honor of photographing a sweet brother and sister. Laura, a prospective wedding client, wanted to have photos of her mom and uncle together since it had been a few years since they'd had any formal portraits taken. We met up in December and I met her mother and uncle; they were such a sweet pair of siblings. While timid at first, they were very patient and eager to follow any instructions in posing I provided them with.

This past December, I once again had the pleasure of meeting up with Laura to schedule another session for her mother and brother. Laura's message to inquire upon date availability was very touching. She mentioned it was imperative that her mother and uncle be photographed to celebrate another wonderful year, a year full of life. I was honored and excited to see them once again. This time they were a little more relaxed and we even joked around with each other during their session. I was able to capture much more relaxed portraits of them and really enjoyed their company.

I am the eldest and have three younger brothers. As the only girl, they quickly reminded me that they are here to take care and be protective of me as they began to grow up. It was sweet to see these siblings at later stage in life held together by a family bond. I want to make sure my brothers and I have portraits of ourselves as well. It is important to me. I want us to re-live some of our fondest memories when we are older and still teasing each other. Portraits are important, and this brother and sister reminded me so.

Laura, thank you for allowing me to photograph your lovely mother and sweet uncle. I am delighted to have caught up with them again this past year and I wish them love, health and happiness. Cheers to a new year and hoping to photograph them again in the next.
